Bluefin’s

Located on Main Street in downtown Falmouth, Bluefin’s restaurant is a fantastic choice for sushi lovers that features craft rolls and local catch. If sushi is not your thing, not to worry, they have plenty of other delectable options. Self-described as “an upscale atmosphere with a fantastic martini bar vibe,” Bluefin’s is sure to please no matter the occasion. Call (774) 763-6421 for reservations.
Osteria La Civetta
133 Main Street, Falmouth
If you’re in the mood for authentic Italian, look no further than Civetta. Here you’ll find a cozy atmosphere where it feels just as personal to sit at the bar as it does at a table. Dishes are inspired by the experiences of Osteria’s owner, Emilia, and her time spent with family and friends in Bologna. Anejo
188 Main Street, Falmouth
The name says it all. Anejo = tequila. One of our favorite restaurants in Falmouth. Check out their website and you’ll see they’re serious about their tequila and Mexican fare. With outdoor seating, homemade guacamole made right at your table, and a killer menu that serves lunch, dinner, and yes–brunch, you can’t go wrong with Anejo, whether you reserve a table or take your chances at the bar. Shipwrecked
263 Grand Avenue, Falmouth
Directly across from Falmouth Heights Beach, you’ll find a fantastic oceanfront restaurant serving traditional American fare. Shipwrecked is a fabulous option if you’re looking for something easy and laid back, without a reservation. But, be prepared, on a warm, sunny day with live music, you could find the outdoor seating to be quite busy.
Shipwrecked is owned and operated by Falmouth locals who have recently overhauled the restaurant to truly encapsulate the fun, beachy vibes of Cape Cod. Whether you order the fish tacos, sushi, or some kickin’ wings, you’re sure to leave satisfied. Reserve a time by calling (508) 540-9600.
Epic Oyster
70 County Road, North Falmouth
Chances are, if you’re vacationing on Cape Cod, eating fresh-shucked oysters is probably part of your “must-do” list. Check this one off your list at Epic. Open seasonally, and located in North Falmouth not far from Old Siver Beach and The Seacrest Hotel, the restaurant itself is quaint so you’ll want to call ahead for seating. And, if you’re dining with someone who doesn’t dig oysters (pun intended) Epic has a fantastic menu with non seafood options as well. Bucatino Restaurant and Wine Bar
7 Nathan Ellis Highway, North Falmouth
Bucatino Restaurant and Wine Bar, known fondly as Buca to locals and frequent patrons, the menu, atmosphere, and service are always solid. Order a bottle of wine, an appetizer, and an entree made with fresh, local ingredients– the lobster ravioli is incredible. Dine inside or enjoy the brand-new outdoor bar and seating while surrounded by beautiful flower gardens and white lights. Estia Restaurant
117 Main Street, Falmouth
With two prime restaurant locations in both downtown Falmouth and the Mashpee Commons, Estia serves up modern and authentic Greek food. “Estia” itself means “hearth”, and diners are sure to feel at home in this inviting and lively atmosphere, complete with Greek culture and live music. Estia is the perfect place to branch out from your typical American fare to try something new. Though everything on the menu is delicious, their fried calamari and lamb lollipops are a must-try. The Glass Onion
37 North Main Street, Falmouth
The Glass Onion is truly a fine dining experience. The menu is carefully curated to include dishes that will please every palette whether you are vegetarian, craving a unique seafood dish, or looking for the best filet in town. This restaurant is small, so you’ll want to place reservations and you can do so up to two weeks in advance. Glass Onion also offers $10 off for “early diners” who are seated by 5:15 Tuesday-Friday making it a great place to check out for happy hour with some appetizers or a shared entree. Water Street Kitchen
56 Water Street, Woods Hole
Located in the quaint village of Woods Hole, Water Street Kitchen is a Falmouth favorite restaurant. With an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients and made-from-scratch food, Water Street Kitchen is sure to become a yearly tradition for your Cape Cod vacation. For a fine-dining experience, expect to try the braised beef, bluefish pate, or Water Street burger. If you’re looking for something more laid back, check them out on Wednesday nights for what they call, “Fried Chicken” night, featuring a different homestyle recipe each time. The Flying Bridge
220 Scranton Avenue, Falmouth
Chances are if you’ve ever been to Falmouth and asked someone where to eat, you were probably pointed in the direction of The Flying Bridge. This restaurant is a landmark in Falmouth. Located just next door to the band shell on the harbor, The Flying Bridge is notorious for weddings, good food and drinks, and beautiful views. Their large menu serves mostly American fare and fresh seafood dishes. New to their menu as of 2023 is sushi, and it does not disappoint. Relax with your favorite beverage, your favorite people, and your favorite dish while you watch the boats move in and out of the harbor. You can never go wrong at The Bridge. Speaking honestly, it was hard to name only ten restaurants for our ‘best of’ list. Falmouth has so many impressive places to eat that you are bound to find a new favorite restaurant every time you come back and visit.
